Manages transmission operations material inventory functional practices involved with scheduling, tracking, storage, inventory controls, and transportation for maintenance, projects, and emergency response. Accountable for the transmission inventory function and management of department personnel.
Manages the operations department scheduling function including all disciplines of delivery services as well as capital project scheduling to support both the near-term and long-term capital work plan. Accountable for the operations scheduling function and management of department personnel.
Provides direction, strategy, and management of transmission asset records in both CMMS and GIS applications. Develops and manages processes ensuring asset records remain current in all transmission asset applications. Works with PMO and Reliability and Asset Management engineering groups to ensure new assets and determined preventative and corrective maintenance work orders are established in asset management applications. Accountable for operations asset management tracking and management of department coordination and personnel.
Manages the Transmission Right of Way department including personnel, strategy, processes, and practices. Accountable for meeting customer requirements and associated needs of direct reports to execute assigned work. Manages and communicates KPI performance reporting of assigned functions. Develops and manages budgets for all assigned functions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety, environmental, industry-standard compliance within the stores, scheduling, vegetation management, asset records, and maintenance/project scheduling best practices.
Provides Strategy and defines processes for transmission inventory control functions.
Oversees operations stores function including material and tools inventory for maintenance and construction projects.
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) data oversight/processing/management for Power Delivery.
Ensures accurate asset records and maintenance requirements in operations software applications.
Oversees and provides quality assurance of the published Operations and Project schedule.
Oversees Coordination with Project Management/Engineering staff for capital project materials.
Coordinates with supporting staff in accounting and purchasing functional areas.
Provides necessary oversight for 24/7/365 outage response activity as needed for areas of responsibility.
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate’s Degree plus 5 years’ experience in asset management / electric utility operations / maintenance and general electric transmission / distribution experience minimum
Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years’ experience in asset management / electric utility operations / maintenance and general electric transmission / distribution experience preferred
Experience:
Five years’ minimum experience and understanding of asset management / asset maintenance planning / scheduling / administration, with additional experience related to warehousing / inventory control preferred
