Indiana Electric Cooperatives (IEC) is a statewide association that exists to support our 38-member rural electric cooperatives with the tools and resources they need to operate safely, efficiently, and legally throughout the state of Indiana. That means working toward favorable legislation, facilitating government relations, providing job and professional development training and safety instruction, making sure our members are compliant with regulations, creating opportunities for community outreach and always representing the best interests of our members.
Our strategic plan ensures we are always working to support our member electric cooperatives. This plan revolves around four key principles: unifying, leading, serving and advocating for our members. If any member is facing difficulties for any reason-anything from coping with a natural disaster to complying with complex new legislation-we help, making sure they have all the support to deal with it successfully. We provide our members with the support they need to power their communities. Reporting to the 38-member Board of Directors, the CEO is charged with enacting our strategic plan.
