EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Radio communication, computer and/or clerical experience
KNOWLEDGE
- Demonstrate general knowledge of Northeastern REMC operations, policies, products and services.
- Understands and adheres to the safety rules stated in the Northeastern REMC Safety Manual. Safety work rules are followed on a daily basis.
- Understanding of SCADA system.
- Network phone system including answering machine, holds and forwarding calls.
- Be proficient in AMI (meters), AVL (vehicles), CIS (member information), OMS (outage) and GIS (mapping) software.
SKILLS
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Network and personal computer applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Precise data entry skills. Ability to learn new and current databases.
- Good customer service skills that have the ability to satisfy the expectations and requirements of customers. Displays courtesy and sensitivity and responds promptly to service requests. Identifies customer needs and explains services clearly. Correctly deescalates difficult situations.
- Effective communication skills that clearly and accurately provide information, resources, and services to the appropriate parties with patience and professionalism. Must be able to remain calm and level-headed during emergency outages.
- Good organization skills that accurately scopes the length and difficulty of tasks and/or projects. Able to set objectives and goals. Uses resources effectively and efficiently.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (other reasonably related job duties may be assigned)
- Handle routine service requests from members, outages, reconnects and emergency radio and telephone communications. Dispatch crews to outages or other emergency situations as directed and initiate appropriate service orders using the GIS, CIS, and OMS systems. Dispatch emergency locates when needed for line identification.
- Dispatch personnel as appropriate under routine and emergency conditions regarding service restoration and maintain log of all radio communications. Notify necessary parties both inside and outside the cooperative.
- Perform SCADA duties such as respond to operate devices, alter settings, respond to alarms, check for functionality and generate reports. Perform and log diagnostic tests. Monitor and log when activities require.
- Receive locate requests from IUPPS and generate locate service orders in the CIS system.
- Maintain various computerized reports, logs, and route sheets as required.
- Monitor the building and grounds via regular rounds and the monitoring of the security cameras.
- Assist with data entry into the CIS system such as meter and transformer readings as directed.
- Monitor load management equipment and operate equipment as necessary. Notify appropriate staff of abnormalities.
- Assist in maintaining the building interior, including but not limited to cleaning and dusting desks, tables in the meeting rooms, emptying trash, and checking operation of the generator.
- Open and close the meeting room; assist in set-up and tear-down and ensure supplies are available.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Part-Time employment. Can be subject to work during or outside of regular operating hours to include weekends, holidays and overnight. Primarily works inside office.
