Apprentice Line Specialist – Princeton, Indiana
WIN Energy REMC, a progressive electric distribution cooperative with headquarters located in Vincennes, IN, is seeking an apprentice line specialist for the Princeton office. WIN Energy REMC serves over 16,900 meters across approximately 2,650 miles of line in eight southern Indiana counties with the mission to “Provide safe reliable electric service at the best value to our member-consumers while supporting the communities we serve”. The cooperative has 51 employees in three office locations with satellite offices in Princeton, IN and Sullivan, IN. WIN Energy REMC is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative and purchases its wholesale power supply from Hoosier Energy, REC, Inc.
Position requirements include a high school diploma with preferred training in electrical courses, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. Successful completion of an electrical line apprenticeship program and/or climbing school preferred. Under direct supervision, this position will assist line specialists to acquire skills required in performing construction, operations, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines and facilities in accordance with the cooperative safety rules and practices.
The successful candidate must have a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and will be required to live within 15 miles from the Princeton office. Drug screening is required. The position works in a union environment and wage scale is in accordance with the bargaining agreement. The cooperative offers a comprehensive benefit and vacation package.
