Harrison REMC, an electric distribution cooperative with headquarters located in Corydon, IN, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Operations Dispatch and Materials Coordinator.
The Operations Dispatch and Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising operational related office functions including service order management, dispatching, and material management to support the REMC’s daily field activities. This position shall ensure all service orders, outage interruptions, maintenance task, and construction projects are dispatched and completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with all company policy, industry regulations and safety requirements both in the field and through all office processes. The qualified applicant must possess the following:
Associate degree in engineering, business, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.
Must possess strong oral and written communications skills, an ability to deal effectively with people, extensive problem-solving capability, and good mediation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Should have good working knowledge of RUS uniform system of accounts, RUS specifications, National Electric Code, National Electric Safety Code, OSHA Rules and Regulations, all cooperative policies and procedures, Service Rules and Regulations, and Rates. Must have 3-5 year’s work experience in electric utility distribution operations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary.
Proficiency in Word and Excel.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
Live or be willing to relocate to a primary residence within 30 minutes of the REMC headquarters.
Supervisory experience preferred.
